Effective spill response is not just a product of technical expertise but also a function of efficient infrastructure — an infrastructure that permits the movement of equipment and people under the demanding conditions imposed by “Alaska realities.”
Forty strategically located ASR Incident Management Team responders are partnered with Alaska oil spill cooperatives to provide the equipment, personnel and professional competency needed to meet the Alaska challenge. The initial responders can then the backed up by international spill response management corporations, allowing a sustained response for major marine casualties.
